Amundsen Race 350
[table “5” not found /]Stage 1 Start Strömsund – Chp. Ursvattnet, 64 km
The start is at Hembygdsgården in Strömsund. The trail leads over Ströms Vattudal (lake) to Ulriksfors where we cross the road, from there we follow own trails which will lead towards the snomobile trails over Malmsjön (lake) for several kilometers and further up to the village of Lövberga, where we pass the road E45. After that the route continues on scooter trails passing Järvsand (village). From here after 48 kilometers we climb steeply up to ‘Järvsand berget’ and then back down again for about 10 kilometers to direction Havsnäs (village) and we’re going to climb up steeply again to Brännebacken and then via snomobile tracks to Holmbodarna and then to the wilderness Checkpoint Ursvattnet (Which is located on the lake).
Stage 2 Chp. Ursvattnet – Chp. Fjällsikten, 96 km
From Ursvattnet we start to climb up to Fattiggårdsbodarna, Kvällknäppen and over Ritjelsberget (mountain) to Alanäset (village), with another road crossing over road 342. From there we cross Trångvattnet (Lake) and follows the old snomobile track further towards Gubbhögen (village), where we’ll cross road 342 again. From Gubbhögen we will cross Flåsjön for about 4 km to Siljeåsen (village). From here we follow our own beautifull trails to Skansnäset (village) where we cross the lake Tåsjö.
NOTE: Until crossing Tåsjö the AR180 and the AR350 will follow the same trail.
After crossing Tåsjö and the road crossing we split with AR180 and go on via the snowmobile tracks to Checkpoint Fjällsikten where the AR180 will go to checkpoint Norråker.
Stage 3 Chp. Fjällsikten – Chp. Norråker, about 85 km
In 2023 there will be a new trail between Fjällsikten and Norråker. More information on this part of the trail will follow later.
Stage 4 Chp. Norråker – Finish, Strömsund, 101 km
This stage will use the same route back to Skansnäset, Siljeåsen, Gubbhögen, Alanäset and up Ritjelsberget again. It contains a hilly part over the mountain again. From there we’ll take the scooter trails back to Strömsund which will lead via Ursvattnet (First Checkpoint) to Järilvattnet (lake) which we have to cross for 4 kilometers and then follow summer road to a new beautifull snomobile track to Strandberget. Here we will pass the road again to Ströms Vattudal.
Finish: At the Northern beach side of Vattudal in Strömsund.
In total, this year’s Amundsen Race 350 will be about 352 km.
Amundsen Race 180

Stage 3 Chp. Norråker – Finish, Fjällsikten, 50 km
From Checkpoint Norråker we follow our own trail for about 15 km where we return to the snowmobile trails to the finish i Fjällsikten.
In total, this year’s Amundsen Race 180 will be about 179 km.
