We and Racetracker have done a test on all trackers and found the reason why a big part of the trackers don’t work. After an update in the system on thursday some trackers have another sort of SIM-card that does not work any longer. We have decided to make a new distribution on stage 4. That means that we are taking all the trackers of the mushers and place the 12 working trackers like this:
Trackers on the 5 first teams in the 12 dog class and on the two last teams.
Trackers on the 3 first teams in the 8 dog class and on the two last teams.
This means unfortunately that not all participants will have a tracker on the last stage. Both Racetracker and the Amundsen Race organization are incredible sorry for that. Note: as not all teams will be equiped with trackers, you can’t be sure that the team leading showing on the GPS tracking is actually the team leading the competition.
