Registration information for Amundsen Race 2025
First day of entry: October 6th 2024.
In order to be able to start the Amundsen Mid Scandinavian Sled Dog Race the registrant has to be minimum 18 years old on the day of the start, have a valid racing license and the dogs on the team should be identity chip marked. Mushers who have a Swedish racing license also need to have the ‘Green Card’. The sign up is personal and can’t be submitted by someone else.

On the 6th of October at 12:00 (midday), the link to the registration form will be activated and published here on this page.

Be sure to fill in your name and address. We really appreciate it if you would like to tell us a little bit more about yourself; e.g. former races you have participated in, your website address, information about your dogs, etc. We would also like to get a photo of you that we can put on the website and in the magazine.
Your entry will be accepted and your name published on the website after your payment has been made.
IMPORTANT! DO NOT FORGET to mention the name of the musher as reference with the payment.

After December 14th 2024, the entry-fee is raised with 1.000 SEK

Waiting List and Refund
Regulations concerning waiting list.
In case of more than 30 signed up teams in 180 class or 25 in the 250/350 class, a waiting list will be established in order of sign up and date of payment for each class. In case of a team dropping out from the entry list, the musher on top of the waiting list will be contacted immediately, and has to respond within 48 hours before December, 14th 2024 and within 24 hours after December, 14th 2024. If there is no response within the given timeframe, the next person on the waiting list will be contacted. Information on which place one has on the waiting list can be enquired with treasurer@amundsenrace.com.
With more than 55 entered teams, the receipt date of the payment determines the order of the waiting list. This is to provide drivers from abroad equal chance. In the event that more drivers have paid on the same date, a drawing will be held for the last places. Payment will be refunded to those mushers who cannot be admitted to the waiting list without a deduction of 2.000,– SEK. Should this happen, the concerned musher(s) will be contacted immediately.
Until December 14th 2024 the entry fee will be returned with deduction of 2.000,– SEK in case of withdrawal. After December 15th, no refund will be done with withdrawal from the race (Note: not even in case of sickness or with a veterinary certificate or in case of any other events). Participants can check with their own travel- or leisure insurance.
Change of driver or change of class (both only after approval from the Race board) will be charged with 500.– SEK.

The race is at own risk, and the entrant should sign a liability statement which is delivered to the secretariat. Upon delivery of the statement, the bib number will be handed out. The statement form you find here below.
