TRAIL INFORMATION

The race starts with a mass start on the ice of the Storsjön lake just outside the center of Östersund (Sweden) and finishes in Röros (Norway) at Idrettsparken.

The trail goes from Storsjön, via Oviksfjällen to Ljungdalen where the teams need to take 3 hours rest, and continues via Sweden's most southern glacier Helags to Tänndalen. Here the teams have a 6 hours mandatory rest.

After Tänndalen the trail continues via Kärringsjön in to Norway to the offroad checkpoint Lövåsen where the teams have to take a 4 hours mandatory rest.

From here on the race follows the Femund lake on to Tufsingdalen, Grådalen and to the finish in Røros.

Total length of the trail is approx. 400 km, divided in to the following approximate stretches:
Östersund - Ljungdalen: 142 km.
Ljungdalen -Tänndalen: 69 km. (211)
Tänndalen - Lövåsen/Grövelsjön: 87 km. (298)
Lövåsen/Grövelsjon - Tufsingdalen: 82 km. (380)
Tufsingdalen - Röros: 40 km.
