Secretariat open for in checking, weighing of dog food, control vaccination booklets, chips marking and tickets for banquets.
Location: Scandic Hotel Östersund Syd

15.00 - 19.00 hours
Veterinary control. Follow the directions from Hotel Östersund Syd to the Horse Trotting Center (2 minutes by car). All dogs need to be checked before start.

20.00 - 22.00 hours
Taco buffet at Scandic Östersund Syd for mushers, handlers and officials. Price 125,- SEK


Friday 19 March
10.00 - 12.00 hours
Musher meeting, obligatory for ALL mushers and handlers (control).
Presentation of prizes and sponsors.
Location: Folkets Hus (2 min. walking distance from Scandic Hotel Syd)

13.00 - 16.30 hours
Opening of Amundsen Race and driving of the dog trucks to the start area at Vinter Parken, Östersund

18.00 hours
Mass start Amundsen Race. Start at the beach Vinter Parken.
Approx. 600 sleddogs are starting on their journey to Röros, Norway.

Saturday 20 March
03.00 hours first teams expected to arrive Ljungdalen. Here the teams have to take 3 hours mandatory rest.

13.00 hours first teams expected to arrive at Hotel Tanndalen for a 6 hours mandatory stop. Participants of Amundsen DUO need to stop for 1 hour in connection with the changing of teams.

Sunday 21 March
ca. 1.00 hours first teams expected in at wildmark checkpoint Lövåsen/Grövelsjon for 4 hours mandatory rest. Applies also for teams in Amundsen DUO.

14.00 hours Winning team is expected to finish at Idrettsparken in Röros in the afternoon. Depending on weather and wind.

Monday 22 March
16.00 hours Evaluation Meeting at Idrettsparken Röros

18.00 hours Banquet and prize ceremony at Doktortjönna in Röros.
